Happy New Year!!

As promised, Microsoft released an out-of-band patch for Internet Explorer, today.  You can get your fix at the Windows Update site, Microsoft Update site, and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).

On December 17,2008, Microsoft is planning to release an out-of-band update to patch the widely reported vulnerability in Internet Explorer.  Users of Windows operating systems are urged to apply the patch as soon as possible.

Sun has released alerts to address multiple vulnerabilities affecting the Sun Java Runtime Environment. The most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.  Users should update their JAVA to the latest version.

On Tuesday, December 9 2008, Nicrosoft is planning to release eight (8) updates for their products, as part of their regular "Update Tuesday" cycle.  This

This time around six updates are rated Critical, and two are rated Important.  Affected software includes Windows (Win2k and up), MS Office (Office 2ksp3 and up), Visual Studio, and MS Search Server.
